Wesley United Methodist Church at the University of Illinois is seeking a passionate and committed individual to serve as our Director of Children and Youth Ministries.
This 15-hour per week, salaried position offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead meaningful programs for children and youth in a vibrant, inclusive, and progressive congregation.

What You’ll Do
The Director will:
Lead Sunday morning Christian education for children and youth
Plan and guide youth group meetings, service projects, and special events
Collaborate with staff and volunteers to create a diverse, affirming, and safe space
Support connections with new families
Communicate effectively with parents and the broader church community
Oversee nursery staff and coordinate volunteers
Help shape seasonal events like Vacation Bible School and summer programming
Who You Are

Brings experience (or strong potential) in children and youth ministry

Communicates well and works collaboratively
Is organized, creative, and passionate about nurturing young people in faith

Hours: 15 per week (flexible schedule, includes Sunday mornings)
Compensation: Competitive part-time salary based on experience
Reports to: Senior Pastor
