Summer in the Scriptures

Read Together. Worship Together. Grow Together.

Summer is a wonderful season to slow down, establish new rhythms, and spend time in the Gospels. Whether you've been reading since June or are just hearing about Summer in the Scriptures, it's never too late to join us!

Our congregation is reading one chapter from the Gospels each day through the end of August. The daily readings take only a few minutes, yet they invite us to encounter Jesus' life, teachings, and ministry in a fresh and meaningful way.

COMING JULY 12: SCRIPTURAL IMAGINATION

Beginning Sunday, July 12, our summer worship series, Scriptural Imagination, will build on our daily Gospel readings. Inspired by Bishop Ken Carter's book of the same name, the series will explore how Scripture does more than inform our minds – it shapes our imagination, helping us see God, our neighbors, and the world through the eyes of Christ.

Rather than asking only, "What does this passage mean?" we'll also ask, "How does this passage teach us to imagine – and live – differently?"

HALF-BAKED BIBLE STUDY RETURNS

Want to go a little deeper? Half-Baked Bible Study returns on Wednesday, July 8, and will accompany the Scriptural Imagination series throughout July. Each week we'll discuss the Scripture for the upcoming Sunday, and your insights just might help shape Pastor David's sermon.

As always, Half-Baked is a relaxed, discussion-based study where questions are encouraged, different perspectives are welcomed, and no one is expected to have all the answers. Whether you've read every chapter or are just getting started, you'll find a place at the table.
