This year, our Wesley Walk
er team is walking for those facing food insecurity here in our community and also for the people around the world who live with hunger and poverty, suffering the effects of natural and political disasters. 75% of the funds we raise through the CU CROP Hunger Walk supports the global relief efforts of Church World Service (CWS) and 25% goes to local hunger-fighting agencies Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, Sola Gratia Farm, Wesley Food Pantry and Eastern Illinois Foodbank.

If you can’t walk this year, you can still help us meet our goal to raise $4,000 by giving online at that same webpage. To give a donation by check, make it out to CWS/CROP and mail it to Wesley UMC, Attn: CROP Walk, 1203 W. Green St., Urbana, IL 61801. We’ll be collecting donations through the end of October.
