We are an active and growing congregation where you can connect with God and with other people. With outstanding music in traditional and contemporary styles in one of the most inspiring buildings in Urbana-Champaign, Wesley is a place where you can feel the love of God. We are a diverse church, where people from many nationalities, races, and backgrounds worship together, and where their children sing, play and study together.

Education programs for children and supportive small groups and in-depth Bible studies for adults are here to help individuals and families grow as people, find friends, and make a difference in the world. During the last year, our members have started a food pantry, provided a laundry room for the Center for Women in Transition, refurbished houses through Empty Tomb, provided tens of thousands of dollars for local and international missions, and participated in mission trips, including one to Zimbabwe, Africa. Wesley is a place where faith and knowledge meet in engaging seminars, book studies, and lectures.

Being located at the heart of the University of Illinois campus contributes to the atmosphere of Wesley. A large number of students, faculty and staff worship at Wesley along with members of the community who enjoy the "campus church" feel, including our commitment to inclusiveness and a promise that you don't have to turn your brain off at the door. Wesley United Methodist Church partners with the Wesley Foundation, the Methodist campus ministry at the University of Illinois to serve the spiritual, emotional, social, and practical needs of students from the U of I, Parkland, and other nearby colleges. Our lounges, computer lab, sanctuary and other amenities are open until 10 pm weekdays and midnight on weekends when the U of I is in session. Our location and beautiful facilities have also made Wesley one of the most popular local churches for weddings, concerts, fundraisers, banquets, etc.
